About the 996

The 996 is the newest variation to the 911 name. Being the 8th 911 variation it still shows the very destinctive 911 style that has been around since 1948. It is the first 911 variation to be water cooled.

996 Specifications
|
The 996 has a 3.4 litre water cooled boxer engine producing 300 horsepower. It is available in 6 speed manual or 5 speed tiptronic. Tiptronic is a system which allows you to have automatic or manual changes.

Tiptronic
The 996 is available in carrera coupe or carrera cabriolet version offering you the option of open top driving. There are also carrera 4 coupe and carrera 4 cabriolet models which are the same as the normal models but have Porsche's advanced 4 wheel drive system.
